When we first went to the Stonehouse Restaurant about 10 years ago they were famous for their baby back ribs, which they offered on Monday nights at $10.95. That's when we usually went and what we usually ate. Since then the place went down hill faster than my grandson on a snow board. Now all that seems to have changed. Last night, for the third time in a row we had an outstanding meal. Four people. Four great meals. The crab cakes, (?)salad and oysters appetizers disappeared quickly. My rack of lamb was done just right and I had to share it with the others, or it wouldn't have been eaten. My wife had the scallop special and they were as good as the time I had ordered them on a previous visit. The other couple had the tuna, rare, and beautiful and the swordfish, cooked to perfection. Coffee came in BIG CUPS!! What a surprise. It was good, hot and there was a lot of it. The Creme Brule with fresh strawberries was excellent, and so was the vanilla ice cream. It was supposed to be a hot fudge sundae, but only a little hot fudge got into the cup. A bit of a disappointment, but not enough to spoil the evening. Service was a bit slow, but with good friends, slow slowish service is acceptable. All in all, a great meal and dining experience. Karl and Lois, Madison, CT (203)458-2526 http://www.stonehouserestaurant.com/ Since reopening in April, 2000, The Stone House Restaurant has resumed its place as a fine dining establishment. Located mid - way between Boston and New York City, its contemporary cuisine featuring seafood and steak is appealing to both travelers and shoreline residents. The superior level of service combined with an exceptionally comfortable ambience makes The Stone House one of the more popular restaurants in the area.
The new owners, led by James P. Quinlivan, previously Executive Chef of the West 63rd Street Steakhouse and the Doral Time and Again Restaurant, both in New York City, envisioned the creation of cuisine made of quality ingredients, meticulously prepared and artfully presented, that would excite its customers with an extremely distinctive dining experience.
The Stone House has become very much a part of the Shoreline Community. Each month since January, 2001, The Stone House has donated a portion of its proceeds, one day a week, to various community associations and charities including:
A Better Chance of Guilford A Better Chance of Madison Protect Our Guilford Guilford High School Jazz Ensemble SARAH The Shoreline Interfaith Food Salvage
The Stone House offers a Club Membership for those of its patrons who desire a greater community involvement while obtaining an economic benefit. Club Members are exclusively entitled to special Cooking Classes, Wine Tastings and specialized Tasting Dinners, in addition to a discount whenever they dine either alone or with guests. |

We recently went to The Branford Townhouse Diner/Restaurant in Branford, Ct. and we were truly in for a fine surprise. I have to say they have the best fish around. I had their Fried Shrimp Platter. Besides giving you a large portion, the shrimp were large and very tasty. They're batter is the best around. We have gone to so called "seafood" places and let me tell you - Branford Townhouse outshines all of them. They are the best! My husband had the Broiled Scrod and that was just as good. It was a treat to for once find a place that gives you the best. We definitely rate this place a 5 star ***** restaurant. And we have been back. WE LOVE IT!! Irene and Nick (203)483-9477 |

Located in the heart of Providence's historic Federal Hill, Siena offers authentic Tuscan cuisine in a warm, inviting and lively atmosphere.
Anthony and Chris Tarro own and manage both Siena Restaurant, located in Providence RI, and Siena Cucina · Enoteca, located in East Greenwich.
Siena evolved out of Anthony's ardor for Tuscan cuisine, which is fresh, simple and unfettered. Time spent in Italy has had a significant impact on Anthony and Chris. The traditions of Tuscany have forever changed their conception of the art of the meal. The idea of translating these traditions to a modern American setting seemed very exciting to both. Hence, Siena - Tuscan Soul Food was born.
Siena's menu features fresh, simple, unfettered food that you could find at dinner tables throughout Tuscany served in a warm inviting casual fine dining atmosphere.
When you're in East Greenwich, visit their sister restaurant, Siena Cucina Enoteca, located at 5600 Post Road.

Mooo located on Boston's Beacon Hill is a modern steakhouse within the luxurious XV Beacon Hotel. Chef/owner Jamie Mammano uses his culinary expertise to create classic, yet modern steakhouse dishes.
The warm modern decor provides a relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere. The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Mooo also offers a full bar and an award winning wine list.
The private dining room at Mooo, The Wine Cellar, offers the most exclusive private dining venue in the city. The Wine Cellar offers service in an exquisite and elegant setting. The room boasts high vaulted ceilings and shows off Mooo's extensive wine list by lining the walls floor to ceiling with much of the wine contained within the wine list.
